Sugaring for Facial hair removal

There is a ancient technique for removing facial hair,as well as any body hair for that matter. This technique is called " sugaring". This treatment involves using a natural paste made from ingredients you will find in your kitchen. Sugaring removes the hair from the root, and can often last up to 5 or 6 weeks before having to be redone. To use this method, apply the warm and thick paste onto the skin in the opposite direction of the hair growth. After a few moments use your fingers to flick the mixture off in the same direction of the growth of the hair. While it may take awhile to become experienced at it, it is worth it because you will be able to remove the hair from large amounts of hair quickly and easily. Also since the mixture is water soluble cleaning it off of your skin is easy, just rinse!
Should you want you give it a shot here is the recipe.
1. Using a steel or aluminum pan, mix together : 2 cups of sugar, ½ cup of lemon juice and ½ cup of water.
2. Place on the stove at a low heat. Bring it to a very slow boil stirring it constantly.
3. Get a white plate, and every minute for more or less five minutes, put a drop of the mixture on the plate to see the color as soon as it turns a light amber color, remove it from the heat source.
4. Allow for the mixture to cool until you can touch it . Then pour it into a heat resistant container and allow it to cool down till just above room temperature.
5. Once it has cooled sufficiently you may use it. |
